Design has always been a part of my life. When I was a little girl, I would rearrange my mom's living room, or create a seating vignette in grandma's landscaping. I'm the family member who takes the vintage furniture to fill my home. I like being surrounded by beautiful things; moving pieces from one room to another, coming up with new ways to display my favorite keepsakes.
I've never been afraid of color.
I enjoy all design styles - Modern, Contemporary, Traditional and the eclectic mix.
My portfolio includes both residential and commercial design work.
I have custom designed furniture pieces from farmhouse vanities, drapery rods to stainless steel furniture.
I'm married to Bryce, who is a computer analyst by day.
After hours, he's my go to carpenter.
I have a 20 year old son Justin. He's a sophomore at the University of Nebraska majoring in Chemical Engineering. He uses computer-aided drafting to help design accent walls, etc. He helps when he can.
Below is a photo of my own home. I've shared a list of my favorite things. I look forward to learning about yours and how we can incorporate them in your style.
I have glass trays, wooden trays, and my favorite- silver trays. They come in all shapes and sizes. I hang them on the wall, use them in my bathrooms, or hang them on my front door.
I have many exterior statues, but most can be found inside of my home. I like the classic look and concrete feel of them. They are unexpected.
The older the better. I have several vintage sets scattered around my home. Nothing is better than aged leather books. I like to use them to display objects and props.
You can do so much with a side chair. They make the perfect place to stack a pile of books, or display towels. I have several that are just beautiful to look at.
My family would tell you they are my favorite! They make the best accessory. I change the seasons with pillows. Recently, pillow covers have been my go to.
Plates can be used all around the house. I have them on display on my staircase, holding my favorite jewelry in my bedroom, and of course filling my plate rack in the kitchen. I like to change out plates with a change in season.
I bring 30 plus years experience in carpentry and home improvement. There's a lot of work maintaining and remodeling a home. I find myself problem solving projects all the time. I take pride in a job well done, and will do the research to have a job finished right.
I'm available for consulting, custom carpentry or small jobs. You will find me working with Sharyle on renovation projects. My portfolio includes fireplace remodeling, bathroom renovations, trim work, blind install, and exterior maintenance.
I find myself more involved in the business than I ever thought. I enjoy meeting clients and often asked my design thoughts. I attend market with Sharyle and see the design trends. When given a chance, we tour staged homes and see what builders outside of Columbus are doing. I enjoy the growth I've gained working at Red Door Designs.
The best way to contact me is first reaching out to Sharyle.
